IceCube Opens New Observation Window to the Universe

The South Pole neutrino telescope IceCube is the world's largest particle detector. It encompasses a cubic kilometer of ice and is fitted with a large number of digital optical modules. Registering neutrinos, these sensors help us understand where cosmic rays come from and learn more about events such as gamma ray bursts and supernovae.

"Personalized Medicine"

The Aachen cluster "medtec-in.nrw: Personalized Medicine for Cardiovascular Therapy" presented the results of its recent research on June 18, in the RWTH Aachen SuperC. Part of the work focused on improving telemedical rescue assistance systems, TemRas for short.

Human Resources Managers Select RWTH as Top University

RWTH Aachen has an excellent reputation in the business field. The university ranking in the magazine "Wirtschaftswoche" proved this. The magazine placed RWTH Aachen in first place for engineering and the natural sciences, in its April 8, 2013 issue.
