Work shops at the Reiffmuseum (centrally managed)

Wood Work Shop
from the winter term 2007/08 the wood work shop is situated on the premises of the former Koop-library, directly across from the Bachelor-studying areas of the Tree-House.

Equipment:
Stationary machines: (eqivalent to carpenter's work shop basic equipment) CNC-shaper (office hours for programming of the CNC-files: Wed 11 AM to 1 PM, CIP-Pool), format circular sa, band saw, dresser, thicknesser, table shaper, disk sander, pillar drilling machine etc. small and hand operated machines: (various supplies especially for general model making) e.g. scroll saw, jig saw, drilling machine (drill), fraise, grinder, etc.
Offer for students:

Within general training of architects and urban planners, the wood workshop conveys the basic artisan techniques for the construction of spatial objects for the development, control and presentation of architectural design concepts. Students receive general specialist information on wood-working and plastic processing as well as special advice for work and scale model planning. After a tutorial enabling them to execute artisan work on their own, they have the opportunity to practice and deepen these skills. Experimental approaches to the development of innovative constructions and processing techniques are also supported.
