  • "A visible City: the tangible and intangible Heritage of Downtown Cairo"
    The Summer School (15th-26th of June) is a project initiated and organised by the German University of Cairo in cooperation with the Stuttgart University, and fully financed by the DAAD, through the transformation Grant.
    10 motivated students (Architecture, Town Planning, Landscape Architecture) will work with 18 Egyptian students in Cairo during the 12 days of the Summer School. The grant will cover the flight to Cairo, the hotel, local transportation and lunches.

  • Baustellenpraktikum mit dem Internationalen Bauorden
    Auf der Homepage des Internationalen Bauordens www.bauorden.de finden Sie ab sofort die Termine für Baustellenpraktika/Baucamps für das Frühjahr 2013 sowie bereits einige Projekte im Sommer.
    Das komplette Programm wird voraussichtlich ab März verfügbar sein.

  • Internationaler und interdisziplinärer Workshop "FRUNZE 35 - Rethinking the Industrial Zone"
    Die Bewerbungsfrist für die Teilnahme an dem Workshop "FRUNZE 35 - Rethinking the Industrial Zone" zum Thema Urbanistik und Stadtentwicklung ist bis zum 22. März verlängert worden.
    Der Workshop wird vom Regionalbüro der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung in der Ukraine im Zeitraum vom 27. bis zum 31. Mai 2013 in Kiew veranstaltet.
     
    Ziel des Workshops ist die Ausarbeitung eines innovativen Nutzungskonzeptes für ein ehemaliges Industriegebiet und eine stillgelegte Industrieanlage in einem der ältesten und schönsten Kiewer Stadtteile.
     
    Teilnahmeberechtigt sind junge und motivierte Experten, Studierende ebenso wie Berufstätige, aus den Fachrichtungen:
    - Architektur,
    - Stadtplanung,
    - Wirtschaft,
    - Geographie,
    - Kulturwissenschaft,
    - Soziologie,
    - städtische Mitarbeiter,
    - Aktivisten und Privatunternehmer.

  • Internationale DAAD-Akademie mit neuen Seminaren Jahresprogramm 2013

    Seit 2007 bietet die Internationale DAAD-Akademie ein Fortbildungsprogramm an, bei dem Themen zur Internationalisierung von Hochschulen und Wissenschaft im Mittelpunkt stehen. In den Informationsseminaren, interaktiven Workshops und Sprachtrainings vermitteln Experten berufsrelevantes Wissen und Sprachkenntnisse.

    Internationalisierung ist eine Querschnittsaufgabe, die in den Hochschulen nur dann erfolgreich umgesetzt werden kann, wenn alle Ebenen und Arbeitseinheiten daran mitwirken. Das gilt für Hochschulleitungen, Wissenschaftler und Studierende sowie das Management und die Verwaltung gleichermaßen.
    Neben den Seminaren und Workshops, die für spezielle Zielgruppen wie Akademische Auslandsämter, Marketingbeauftragte oder Nachwuchswissenschaftler konzipiert wurden, gibt es eine Vielzahl von übergreifenden Seminaren, die sich an alle Interessierten aus den verschiedenen Arbeitsbereichen richten. Diese sind in fünf Themenreihen zusammengefasst: „Regionalkompetenz“, „Bologna macht mobil“, „Im internationalen Vergleich“, „Internationalisierung fängt zu Hause an“ und „Auch das ist wichtig“.
    Teilnahmeberechtigt am Programm der iDA sind alle nicht-wissenschaftlichen und wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter von Hochschulen sowie außeruniversitären Wissenschafts- und Forschungseinrichtungen.
    Die Internationale DAAD-Akademie ist eine Einrichtung des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienstes.

  • International DAAD-Academy with new  Seminars annual program 2012

Since 2007, the International DAAD Academy offers a training program, which focuses on issues connected with the internationalization of universities and science. Informational seminars, interactive workshops and language courses conducted by different experts provide career related knowledge and language skills.

Internationalization is a cross-sectional task that can only be implemented in the universities when all levels and units of work are involved in it. This equally applies to university executives, academics and students, as well as the management and administration.
In addition to seminars and workshops which have been designed for specific target groups such as International Offices, marketing representatives or young scientists, these are a number of comprehensive seminars aimed at all those interested in the various work areas. These are assigned to five thematic series: „Regional Competence“, „Bologna mobilizes“, „International Comparison“, „Internationalization starts at Home“ and „This too is Important“.
All non-academic and academic staff of the universities as well as non-university academic and research institutions are eligible to participate in the iDA program.

Scholarships

Scholarship Program  MINT Excellence
In collaboration with MLP, the Manfred Lautenschläger Foundation has created the scholarship program MINT Excellence, in order to specifically sponsor students from this area.

Besides the possibility of speculative application, students may also be suggested by university teachers for the program. The application period has started in Nov 2012 and ends on May 15th 2013.
