The main activities of our group are the basic- and device related research on organic materials and devices. We are producing and characterizing prototypes of organic devices like organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) and organic solar cells (OSCs) in house. In cooperation with several international companies and research facilities, we are also involved in the investigation of organic light emitting diodes (OLED). In the field of basic research, our main focus lies on the investigation and the understanding of interfaces, both organic-organic and organic-inorganic, e.g. the interface between an organic active layer and a dielectric or a transparent conductive oxide (TCO). A deep insight into and the modification of this interface is one of the more pressing tasks in organic material research.
