Graduation Gala and Yearbook

 

For a long time, the appreciation of its graduates was held on a small scale within a monthly award of the certificates through the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. For four years now, the Faculty celebrates its alumni twice a year with the graduation ceremony in the Aachen-Münchener-Hall in the main building of RWTH Aachen University.

Now in 2012 we adapt our concept to steadily growing graduation numbers as well as an increased demand and for the first time in September 2012 we will hold the Graduation Gala of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Eurogress Aachen.

As in the past years, alumni of the degrees Diploma, Master of Science as well as doctoral candidates of the Faculty will be appreciated and they are invited to celebrate the farewell from their alma mater with accompanying persons.

The Eurogress Aachen provides the festive setting of the now annual graduation gala. Besides a noble 3-course menu, the guests await speeches of Rector Prof. Ernst Schmachtenberg as well as Prof. Robert Schmitt, the Faculty’s Dean. Also this year, Prof. Modigell will lead through the program entertaining as usual. After the gala, the Casino Aachen and the Club Zero invite you to let the evening gently fade away in an easy informal atmosphere.

In the meantime, the graduate yearbooks, which will of course be given away to the alumni again this year, have become a tradition. This book gives an overview of the alumni of one academic year and makes for a nice memory of the study and doctoral period at RWTH Aachen University.

All graduates receive their certificates from the Central Examination Office.

Invitation

The invitation of the graduates will occur in written form through the Faculty before the festivities.

 

Sponsorship

The Faculty offers companies the opportunity to present themselves during the graduation gala. Within the framework of sponsoring the festivities, a full-page advertisement of the company will be published in the year book.
