Welcome to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University – your academic “home” while you are studying at this university as an exchange or visiting student. We are certainly looking forward to your application and to welcoming you here soon!
Study abroad requires quite an amount of preparation. Where do I go? Where will I live? What can I study? How does the academic system work in another country? While some of these questions have already been answered by your choice of RWTH, others may remain open.
The following pages shall assist you in your preparation of your stay at RWTH Aachen University, explaining those academic aspects of your stay with which you should familiarize in advance. And yet, we are fully aware that no brochure or information sheet will ever suffice to solve all problems or to ease any concern you might have preparing your stay in Aachen. Therefore, do not hesitate to contact us at any time with any question that may arise – either before, during, or after your stay at RWTH!
