Application to one of the Examination Boards

 

In case a student wishes to file an application to one of the Examination Boards of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the following general conditions always apply:

  • All applications for which no precast forms exist will be viewed and decided upon as individual applications. All formalized applications (those with precast forms) are assigned to certain degree programs and may be found at the bottom of this page.
  • The applications must be submitted in written form at the latest eight days prior to the next meeting of the respective Examination Board, because otherwise they may only be dealt with in the next but one meeting (Exception: formalized applications, see below).
     
  • All applications must contain the following information:
    Name, matriculation number and complete current address of applicant, E-Mail address and phone number (for a faster reachability, otherwise everything will be dealt with by slower regular mail!), Degree program and subject resp. specialization, where applicable, Content of application with explanation, Attachments if necessary for confirming content (especially medical certificates, conformations of chairs or the like), Date of application and signature
     
  • A PDF-file for the informal application to the respective Examination Board may be found in the Download sector
     

Formalized applications: Applications for which a special form (so called official form) is available (e.g. application for change of curriculum, application for accreditation of performances, application for suspension of examination deadlines, data sheets for academic papers) may be processed according to fixed demands of the Examination Board by authorized persons apart from meeting dates.

All results of the respective Examination Board concerning the applications will be communicated to the applicant in written form.
