Computational Engineering Science (CES) (B.Sc.)
The use of computers in dealing with technically complex problems becomes ever more significant. However, neither the mere availability of progressively high performance computers, nor the ability to operate them, is adequate enough to meet the scientific and technological challenges of the future. The greatest difficulty lies in the mathematical representation, the modeling, of the technical problem, so that it can be processed by computers. Developing the abilities that are necessary to do this, the abilities that open up the usage of computer systems by closely connecting to applications that are based on fundamentals – this is the core concern of this new course.
