February 22, 2013, Pforzheim University: The GWA Junior Agency Award is Germany's top communications award for university students and the only one that simultaneously assesses strategic and creative design performance.

Technology and Innovation Management Group amongst the finalists in a global contest!

In the "EXIST Gründerkultur - Die Gründerhochschule" competition organized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), RWTH Aachen University was awarded a prize for its strategy for creating a "start-up culture" within the University. For the implementation of its strategy, the University will receive up to 3.5 million euros within the next 5 years.

Professor Dr. Malte Brettel is the new Vice-Rector of RWTH Aachen University. On December 6, 2012, the Senate of the University confirmed  the Board of Governors' earlier voting in favor of Malte Brettel. Professor Brettel will assume responsibility for the area of "business and industry relations". He takes over from Professor Dr.-Ing. Günther Schuh, who has stepped down from this position. The term of office for Vice-Rectors of RWTH Aachen University is coupled to that of the Rector, which will last until July 31, 2014.
