Division 10.2 - Construction Management

The Division of Construction Management structurally belongs to the Department of Facility Management with RWTH Aachen Central University Administration.

 

Our Responsibilities

Division 10.2 Construction Management is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and conducting of building measures. This includes new buildings, the renovation of existing buildings, the renovation of areas of use, building alterations, and the inspection and evaluation of possible new rentals.  The division is broken up into the areas project coordination, building maintenance, building workshop, and area management.

Moving Planning

The staff assumes responsibility for the planning, commission, and implementation of desired measures as well as moving planning and coordination. The processing of building applications, survey of demands, and expenditure estimates are made in this context. The planning and implementation of moves within the university is a further focus of our responsibilities.

Construction Workshop

Our construction workshop carries out repairs, mainentance, and adjustment work for various building trades.

Building Information System

Room and area management and the connected building information system are a further focus of responsibility. Furthermore, the update and further development of property, building, and room files including the allocation of room and building numbers fall under this division. Plans are made and documented and escape routes are created.
