Division 2.2 - International Student and Scholar Services
The Division of International Student and Scholar Services belongs to Department 2.0 - International Office, Fundraising, and Alumni within RWTH Aachen Central University Administration. Our staff supervises international students, doctoral candidates, and researchers at RWTH Aachen, develops concepts for recruiting international students, and handles the finances for international projects.
Our Responsibilities
Initial Advising and Support Services
The multicultural and multilingual Info-Service Center (ISC) team offers initial advising for interested students, scientists, and academics on the diverse opportunities for stays abroad, international exchange programs, and university partnerships, provides information to international student applicants, students, scientists, and academics, and makes one's start at RWTH Aachen easier with a comprehensive packet of services such as orientation days, support services, trainings on study abilities, or support in the search for housing.
Promoting International Togetherness
With recreational programs such as Leisure&Pleasure, the BeBuddy program, and the active coordination of the Humboldt Haus, RWTH Aachen's international meeting point, the division ensures that international students and German students come into contact with one another, thus making internationality a lived part of the university experience for everyone. We make this internationality visible through the Certificate International. Additionally, the division supervises and promotes international student organizations at RWTH Aachen, awards scholarships on international students, and handles all the finances in the international area.
