Division 2.3 - Mobility
The Division of Mobility belongs to Department 2.0 - International Office, Fundraising, and Alumni within RWTH Aachen Central University Administration. Our staff plans and coordinates partnerships with universities around the world and advises RWTH Aachen students on exchange programs and stay abroad.
Our Responsibilities
Our responsibilities including advising about stays abroad in Europe, North America, Europe, China, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Singapor. Various exchange programs, including Erasmus, Unitech International, and Urop International, are supervised here. Students can also get information here about internships abroad within the framework of the European Union Erasmus Program.
Advising on Stays Abroad
We advise RWTH Aachen students, who would like to study abroad, on study options, programs, and funding opportunities in the countries listed above, support them in the application and preparation process for exchange programs with the university, and award scholarships for various stays and programs.
Support for International Students After Their Arrival in Aachen
We advise and support international students, who would like to study at RWTH Aachen within the framework of an exchange agreement, with the application and enrollment, housing search, and mediation of German courses and visits to authorities. We also implement special programs for international students, such as UROP International .
Cooperations Abroad with Faculties and University Administration
We are the first contact for faculties and administrative units in all matters and questions regarding the creation, expandsion, and practical implementation of partnerships with universities in the countries concerned, manage RWTH Aachen's central cooperation database, and handle the finances for exchange programs.

UROP is the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program at RWTH Aachen. It has existed since 2008 and offers students initial research experiences abroad.
