Our Responsibilities
The Division "Structure and Research" supports the strategic development of RWTH Aachen University at the management and faculty level. The division's focus of activity is on preparatory and follow-up work for basic structural decisions by the Rectorate and Strategy Board and on supervising the implementation of the Institutional Strategy "RWTH 2020: Meeting Global Challenges," developed under Germany's Excellence Initiative. Furthermore, the Division monitors the projects initiated under the RWTH 2020 development plan.
In all its activities, the Division is in close dialogue with the Rectorate, the members of the Strategy Board, the Faculties, and other administrative units.
Apart from assisting the Strategy Board, the Division's services include performing calculations on capacities and capacity utilization as well as the prepatation of target and performance agreements between the Rectorate and the Faculties/Sections.
