Competence Network 'New Materials'
The Competence Network 'New Materials' is a network between several institutions of the Helmholtz Association, which includes the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron, DESY, the Forschungszentrum Jülich, FZJ, the Karlsruher Institut for Technology, KIT, the Helmholtzzentrum Geesthacht, HZG, the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum in Garching, MLZ, and the two universities: Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, FAU, and RWTH Aachen University.
A close and lasting cooperation between institutions of the Helmholtz Association and university research has a high potential to strengthen Germany's position as the centre of materials science.
Following application areas are of particular interest: Energy, catalysis, electronics/IT, lightweight materials and soft matter.
Until now 2 workshops took place: the first workshop in Erlangen at the 26.-27.02.2015 and the second workshop in Aachen at the 02.-03.07.2015.
