University Adventure Playground is a holiday recreation service for the children of RWTH Aachen and Aachen University Hospital members and students. The RWTH Aachen Family Services Center initiated this service to give employed and student parents the possibility to have their children compentently supervised during the Easter, summer, and fall breaks. The program is designed with children ages six to eleven in mind.

The program is targeted towards sports enthusiasts and truely adventurous children, who want to experience something during the break. We offer weeks for different topics. It will be researched, played, tinkered, discovered and made sport. Individual program points are related to RWTH Aachen and its institutions.

Daily Schedule and Mealtimes

You will receive detailed information about the program for the week you booked no later than two weeks before it begins. Children and their supervisors go on exciting discovery and experience tours in the Euroregion and within our university during the supervised period.

An adventure playground day starts with a collective self-made breakfast. Excursions and games start afterwards. At lunch there is either a warm meal prepared by the participants, a meal at one of the Student Services cafeterias, or a self-packed lunch for on the road.

Play Groups

All vacation play groups are integrative. The groups are also split up into smaller groups and equipped with more supervisory staff. Please contact the Family Services Center before registering to discuss individual details.

Unfortunately, we currently cannot supervise children who need assistance or cannot climb stairs, since we do not have a handicap accessible space or handicap toilet available.

Picking Up and Dropping Off Your Children

You can bring your child to the respective meeting point from 7.30 to 8.30am. The program ends at 4pm. If you need to pick up your child earlier, please previously speak to us.

The program for 2018 will follow later this year.
