The collaboration between the City of Aachen and the University has resulted in a number of popular events, the Science Days in 1997 and 2000, for example, which presented the results of research projects conducted at the University to an audience of citizens from the region. In the following years, these science events took the form of the very popular “Science Night,” which has been taking place every year now since 2003 in the Kármán Auditorium, on the second Friday in November.

The RWTH Science Night

To present science in an unusual way and at an unusual time – this is the idea behind the “5 to 12” Science Night with its dynamic and engaging special events comprising interesting lectures, film screenings and musical performances which are suitable for young and old alike, making science graspable by providing education and fun through lively hands-on experience.

Entertaining and informative, the science night extravaganza will commence at 7pm on November 9, 2012. For a comprehensive program, please refer to the 2012 Science Night Brochure (in German)
