The Division of Technical Facilities Management - Electrical Systems structurally belongs to the Department of Facility Management within RWTH Aachen Central University Administration. In four areas, our staff makes sure that the numerous electrical systems at the university always work smoothly.

Our Responsibilities
Voltage and Contactors
Our staff undertakes the maintenance, repair, correction of defects, and renovation of 10KV networks, mean voltage systems, standby-sets, batteries, and transformers.
Lighting and Lightning Protection
Our team undertakes the maintenance, repair, correction of defects, and renovation of low voltage systems, building installations, lighting systems, barrier systems, and lightning protection systems.
Technical Planning
Here you will find the correct contact person if you have questions about technical planning, surveillance, maintenance, and the inspection of elevators, crane installation, conveyors, elevator alarm systems, and power opeated gate and door systems.
Fire Alarm Systems & Direction Centers
Our staff is also responsible for the maintenance, repair, correction of defects, changes and improvements to the fire alarm systems or the data processing and telecommunications networks. Additionally, our team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and upgrading of the Central Control System for transfering operational and alarm notifications from the various facilities of the building services.
