What We Do
The Division of Vocational Training, including the BAZ, or vocational training centers, is responsible for the coordination of vocational training at RWTH Aachen.
Career goals can be achieved in almost 30 vocations. Each year the university hires around 240 apprentices, who are trained in labs, workshops, and construction or secretary offices. In the dual training system, skills and knowledge are conveyed not only in the vocational school, but also at the institutions of higher learning in question.
In addition and depending on the vocation, RWTH Aachen offers courses in the vocational training centers and vocational training instruction at the university’s internal vocational training school. RWTH Aachen is the largest training location in the region.
