Our Responsibilities

Department 9.0 - Legal Affairs belongs to RWTH Aachen's Central University Administration. It includes the Division of Legal Services and the  Division of Special Property. Our employees supervise all legal matters at RWTH Aachen, as long as they are not explicitly assigned to other bodies in the Central University Administration.

Our Responsibilities

  • Criminal affairs
  • Contract matters with aconsiderable level of difficulty, high complexity
  • Collaborations with RWTH Aachen affiliated institutes
  • Questions regard intellectual property
  • Contracts for work with individual, not just legal, persons
  • Special funds, gifts, endowments, and bequests made to the university
