Distinguished Professorships
Professors of the Faculty with an excellent research record may be awarded a "Distinguished Professorship." As a rule, awardees are senior researchers who are full professors at the University.
Distinguished Professors receive funding to establish and maintain a nationally and internationally competitive research environment.
The funds may be used for new research equipment, the recruitment of research staff, research visits, and the hosting of visiting scholars. By application, awardees may also be granted reduced teaching assignments.
The first call for applications has closed. A second call for applications is expected to open late in 2013.
