RWTH Aachen puts a high value on promoting its employees.  Human resources develoment is important to us.  Under the motto "Excite, Enable, Initiate", the university created guidelines that form the foundation for all the human resources development measures for all employees.

Excite, Enable, Initiate

RWTH Aachen places a high value on human resources development and responsible contact with employees.  As the largest employer in the Aachen region and one of the most visible universities in Germany, RWTH Aachen compels itself to create a space for people, where they can optimally develop their peformance, regardless of their background, culture, physical or mental abilities, or sex.  In December 2011, RWTH Aachen adopted guidelines for a human resources development concept, under the direction of Vice-Rector for Human Resources Management and Development, Professor Doris Klee.  This is valuable for all pre-existing and new measures.  Furthermore, it is linked to the University's total strategy.

Whether central further education offers or individual seminars, courses, or workshops - RWTH Aachen offers its employees a broad spectrum of development opportunities. There is also a comprehensive advising and support service available to you.

Further Training

The complexity of the world has increased and will continue to do so.  Changes to existing systems, the development of new ones, the linking of these systems obscure industry and research.  Again and again this is requiring rethinking and current know-how in industry and research.  Knowledge is not enough anymore.  The skill to know, where relevant knowledge originates or what person or institution provides the desired knowledge is more important than pure knowledge itself. In the future, this transfer of knowledge will only be obtained through the close networking of universities and companies.  For this reason, RWTH Aachen offers further training to its students, academic and non-academic staff, and the public, that covers topics in all the faculties.
