DFG Priority Programs
Priority Programs are established by the Senate of the German Research Foundation. The Senate identifies promising research topics and decides whether targeted funding of projects in the research field in question is likely to produce significant sientific results.
As soon as the DFG decides to establish a new Priority Program, it will invite proposals by German educational and research institutions.
Priority Programmes provide the opportunity for nationwide interdisciplinary networking and coordination of research projects. Typically, Priority Programs are funded for a period of six years.
