Boost Fund

 

It is not easy to acquire external funding for an interdisciplinary research field that has not yet been established. For this reason, RWTH Aachen makes financing possibilities available through the "Boost Food", in order to give such fields of research the opportunity to develop further within two to three years.

 

The Boost Fund: From an Interdisciplinary Research Field to Project House

For the meantime, RWTH Aachen aims at developing projects in fields of research that are centrally and strategically significant to the project houses and thus further sharpen the profile of the university.

Initiatives funded by the boost fund should be able to finance themselves through external funding within five to ten years.

The goal is to convert successful projects in to interdisciplinary research centers after about five to ten years. The reorientation and realignment of a faculty is another desired result of such project initiatives.
