Openness in Higher Education is one of the approaches to gain equal access to Information and to improve the quality of education. If universities want to find more resources to invest in better teaching, openness and sharing of resources must be encouraged and supported. In this project, we are trying to analyse the challenges facing openness and sharing of different course materials and resources. Additionally, we intend to develop a technical solution in a form of a tool to support the educators by producing Open Educational Resources (OERs) and/or reproducing the already existed educational materials as OERs.

Task

Analyse to which extent the process of converting the educational materials can be automated and support with developing a tool to convert the (semi-)automatically into Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Requirements

Interest in education and eLearning Computer and programming skills Analytical skills and ability to produce clean, well-maintainable code Willingness and ability to read and analyse scientific articles Pre-Knowledge and experience in Open Educational Resources (Preferred)
