Several plastic components are produced by using the rotational molding process. Therefore, a mould that is filled with plastic granulate is heated and the granulate is distributed on the surface of the mould by rotation. To optimize the efficiency of the process, an intelligent control of the rotation and the heat-ing is striven. Therefore, an accurate model of the process is required.

- Development of a numerical model by using a commercial simulation tool (CFD/DEM) - Simulation with varying process parameters to simulate a test bench - Comparison of the experimental and numerical results
