The Career Center of RWTH Aachen University is the central contact point for students seeking careers advice as well as general information on entering the job market. The Career Centre provides RWTH students with career- and job-related information and programmes and acts as an interface between students and employers.

EU Community

DAAD provides useful information such as experience reports from students, information about preparation and application, an online intercultural training and much more at http://eu-community.daad.de.

IAESTE

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is an international, nonpolitical, independent organization arranging internships placements abroad for students in engineering and natural sciences. The local IAESTE branch also provides advisory and support services RWTH students.

Fulbright Commission

The Fulbright Commission offers scholarships to provide funding for a 9-month study abroad period at a North American graduate school. For study periods in 2010/2011, eligible candidates are

  • students and graduates of the traditional German degree courses (Diplom/Magister/1. Staatsexamen) as well as students in the new master's degree programmes
  • graduates of BA programmes
  • doctoral students at a Graduate School or a Research Training Group (Graduiertenschule, Graduiertenkolleg)
