StOEHn Rewards with Awesome Prizes
Every semester participants in the StOEHn Survey have the chance to win many interesting prizes. In past semesters, laptops, laser printers, book gift certificate, and gift cards for the RWTH Shop were awarded. Regular participation increases one’s chance of winning. Students can participate in the StOEHn Survey every month during the semester, and automatically receive a ticket for lottery every time they participate. Winners of the StOEHn lottery are determined after each semester. Participants can check the tickets they collected about a month after the start of the following academic semester. All students receive an email, when the prize winners are listed in Campus Office.
Summer Semester 2012: Ten Prizes Awarded Again
StOEHn is worth it again: Ten prizes were were awarded for the past summer semester. The award ceremony for Summer Semester 2012 took place on December 12, 2012, in the Rectorate. The prizes were handed out by Prof. Krieg, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Learning, and Matthia Nick, AStA President.
First Place: a Fujitsu laptop with a docking station went to a femate student in computer science.
Second Place: A color printed was awarded to a female student in applied geography.
Third Place: A male student in electrical engineering and information technology was awarded a book certificate worh 100 Euros.
Fourth to Seventh Place: Students from Faculties 1, 2, 3, and 4 each received a book certificate worth 20 Euros.
Eighth to Tenth Place: Students from Faculties 3, 5, 6 looked forward to their prize of a 20 Euros gift certificate each to the RWTH Shop.
Winter Semester 2011/2012: Win, Win, Win...!
StOEHnen is always worth something new every semester. Ten prizes were awarded for this past winter semester. The award ceremony for winter semester 2011/2012 took place on June 11, 2012. Professor Aloys Krieg, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Learning, and AStA President, Bela Brenger handed out the prizes together to the winners.
First place, a Fujitsu laptop with a docking station went to a female student in physics. A printer as second place went to a female student in philosophy, and a student mathematics was able to celebrate getting the third place prize, a gift certificate worth 100 Euros to an Aachen bookstore.
Fourth to Seventh Place: Bookstore gift certificates worth 20 Euros each went to students in Faculties 1, 2, and 7.
Eighth to Tenth Place: Gift certificates for the RWTH Shop worth 20 Euros went to students in Faculties 3, 4, and 5.
Winter Semester 2010/2011 Winners: Even More Prizes
On June 9, 2011, the prize ceremony for the winter semester 2010/2011 took place in the Rectorate. They were presented by Professor Krieg, Prorector for Teaching and Mr. Bussmann, ASta Advisor for Teaching and political education. This time, StOEHn participants had a chance to win a total of ten prizes. This time more book gift certificate and RWTH Shop gift certificate were given out. The StOEHn Team congratulates the winners once again and thanks them for their participation.
First Place: A Chemistry student won a Dell laptop.
Second Place: A Mechanical Engineering student won a Samsung laser printer.
Third Place: A Chemistry student won a 100 Euro gift certificate to an Aachen bookstore.
Fifth to Sixth Places: An Applied Geosciences student, a Mechanical Engineering student, and a Business Administration and Engineering: Mechanical Engineering student each won a 20 Euro gift certificate to an Aachen bookstore.
Seventh to Tenth Places: An Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering student, a Biology, a Business Administration and Engineering: Electrical Power Energy Engineering student, and a Psychology student each won a 20 Euro gifit certificate to the RWTH Shop.
Common Questions About the StOEHn Lottery
How do I get a ticket?
It is possible to participate in StOEHn every month of the semester. Every time you participate, you will automatically receive a ticket for the StOEHn lottery. Thus, you can collect six tickets total per semester. Your tickets are displayed in the StOEHn area of your Campus Office under “persönliche Losansicht".
How do I check if I have won?
Lottery winners will be notified after the semester has ended by our “e-fairy”. Collected tickets can be checked in “persönlichen Losansicht” in Campus Office about one month after the start of the following semester. If the lottery for the respective semester has been closed, all students will receive an email, notifying them that they can then check in Campus Office to see if they won. On the right, next to “Meine Lose”, the winning tickets are listed according to prize. In order to check and see if you have won, you just need to click the button “Meine Lose prüfen” and you will immediately receive an answer.
What happens if my ticket won?
Congratulations! If one of your tickets is a winning ticket, you will find out immediately which prize you have won. Additionally, you will receive contact information, in order to find out from the StOEHn Team how to pick up your prize.
What happens if my ticket did not win?
Unfortunately none of your tickets is a winning ticket. You will also find this out through an immediate reply in the personal ticket view.
