Mummer Scholarships for Future Executives from Middle and South Eastern Europe
Master made in Germany – Career at home!
The Rochus and Beatrice Mummert Foundation award scholarships to future leaders from Middle and South Eastern Europe.
Mummert scholarships provide funding for four-semester Master's programmes in the natural and engineering sciences, in economics, and in tourism studies. Further, the scholarships comprise a four to five month internship placement (typically in the summer semester of the second year) as well as management training courses. Scholarship recipients take part in mentoring and cultural events programmes. Funding will be provided for five semesters of study.
Eligible to apply are students at the following universities: RWTH Aachen University, the University of Cologne, and the German Sport University Cologne.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Applicants must:
- be enrolled (plan to enrol) in a master's programme in one of the following subject areas: Engineering or Business Administration & Engineering, Natural Sciences, Economics, or Tourism Studies;
- hail from one of the following countries: Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary
- have completed their Bachelor's Degree (in one of the above listed fields) at the beginning of the scholarship period
- demonstrate excellent academic performance (very good grades, also in mathematics)
- have very good German language skills
- demonstrate leadership potential
- have enthusiasm and a strong personality
- demonstrate social and community engagement
- have the ambition to return to their country of origin after completion of their degree
Financial Benefits
- Scholarship amount 850 to 900 Euro
- Tuition fees and research allowance (per semester: 500 Euro plus 228 Euro)
- Travel allowance 150 to 200 Euro
- Laptop/PC allowance 700 euro

- Premium for an outstanding Master's degree 500 Euro

When and Where to Apply
The application period is between 1 September and 1 November for a scholarship period commencing in the winter semester of the next year.
