The Student Advice Centre will help you with any questions through personal meetings, a telephone hotline, group advising, and presentations.
How do I correctly understand my exam regulations? What do they mean for me specifically? What credits and work from other courses of study are recognized? How do I approach subject-specific problems? Every subject at RWTH Aachen has department student advising, which can give you information to help answer your subject specific questions. It often issues certificates of good standing as well.
Student Councils with the Faculties
Who represents me in the University Council? Who advises first-year students during orientation events? Who answers questions about studies from your perspective? Active fellow students from the student representative councils are the right contact persons, if you have questions about student representation, advising, and support.
Students with Disabilities or a Chronic Illness
Which lecture halls are handicap accessible? Who allocates internship positions for disabled students? Is there an athletic program for students with disabilities? The RWTH Aachen Students with Disabilities Representative is responsible for equal opportunities for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
Support for International Students
The Department "International Office, Fundraising and Alumni" takes care of more than 5,000 students currently studying at RWTH Aachen University and offers services, advice, information, leisure time activities and support for studying.
Crisis, stress, learning difficulties, mood problems, fears, relationship troubles – possible burdens, that influence studies for many students. During your studies, you can find professional and confidential support through our psychological counseling services.
The Center for Mental Health for Students team, in the Aachen University Hospital, provides help to students and doctoral candidates in cases of difficult mental problems, such as prolonged mood swings, addictions, anxiety, compulsions, or changes in perception.
