In collaboration with internal and external university partner institutes, Central Alumni Advising also offers RWTH alumni discounts at further education institutions, hotels, and car rentals.

 

Requirements for Discounts & Benefits

RWTH Aachen

 

There are two requirements for using these benefits:

  1. You should be registered and activated with the central RWTH Aachen Alumni Advising.  If you are not, fax or mail us the Alumni Info Sheet (de) or register online via the Alumni Portal.
  2. In order to identify yourself as an alumna or alumnus of RWTH Aachen, you should have an AlumniCard, which you can also apply for through central Alumni Advising.  Simply request the AlumniCard via .
 

Current Services

The Alumni Team is consistently working to expand benefits for our alumni.  The following discounts are currently available:

Email Address

Use your person RWTH email address (firstname.lastname@rwth-aachen.de). You can apply with this form from the Center for Computing (Rechenzentrum).

Library Card

There is an individual user group "Alumni" at the University Library.  All RWTH alumni have access regardless whether they live in Germany or abroad.  Registration is possible with the AlumniCard, personal ID card or passport, and an official registration certificate.  The following advantages are available to you:

  • regularly take out media from the stacks, textbook collection, and the Library of Medicine
  • look up, order, and reserve media in the web catalog (both within and outside of the library), place interlibrary loan requests and acquisition requests, and use a user account
  • use the reading rooms and group work room
  • access to licensed electronic resources within the library (databases, e-magazines, eBooks)
  • access to the printed holding of standards and the standards database
  • copying and printing
  • take part in University Library courses and tours for free
  • use the Patent Information Center: free use of the center in Aachen, discounted delivery of patent documents and research orders, booking in-house seminars on commercial protection rights
