RWTH Aachen University is one of three awardees in the Ideas Competition for research alumni of German universities, named by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2011.

Taking into account both the needs of our foreign research alumni and our interest to market science and research at RWTH Aachen University internationally, will be mutually beneficial. The aim of RWTH Aachen University therefore is to further develop and enhance the relationship with our former international researchers.

Anyone who has conducted research in Germany and then gone on to pursue a successful academic career in another country is living proof of how valuable a research stay in Germany is.

What we are looking for

Are you a non-German alumnus of RWTH Aachen University or have you completed a research stay at our university? Do you now hold a research position at a non-German university or research institution?

Or are you currently a guest scientist or doctoral student from abroad conducting research at RWTH Aachen University?

Then you are who we are looking for – today and tomorrow’s international research alumni of RWTH Aachen University! We’d like to hear from you, your ideas and suggestions to improve services and activities planned for the research alumni of our university and help us spread the word about the manifold study and research opportunities at RWTH Aachen University.
