Application German Language Course
RWTH Aachen University offers German courses that prepare students for the German language examination for university admission, DSH. Application to these language courses takes place through the RWTH Aachen Language Center. Here you can find more information about the DSH language courses.
In some cases, participants in the DSH language courses, for whom the International Office is responsible, can be enrolled at RWTH Aachen as students during the course. For this to occur, you must be accepted to the German course and then come to the Division of Admissions and Social Affairs in the International Office during our opening hours and submit the following documents:
- Proof of participation in the DSH language course at RWTH Aachen University (confirmation of acceptance and confirmation of payment of course fees)
- Documents, which determine your eligibility for admission to studies at RWTH Aachen. For individuals interested in starting undergraduate studies, this includes your school-leaving certificate, university entrance examination, documentation of semesters studied in your home country, etc. Please note that you can only be enrolled if your university entrance qualification certificate indicates a grade better than 2.5 in the German system. For individuals interested in beginning Master's studies, you must provide your Bachelor's degree (final transcript and degree certificate)
After your documents are reviewed for your eligibility for studies at RWTH Aachen, you enroll as a student in the preparatory German course.
This enrollment does not guarantee you a study placement.
Even if you enroll in the German course, you must also apply for studies and receive a study placement in the selection process.
