Bridge Courses
Repeat school math one more time? Refresh French or Latin skills or start learning them? Polish up basic chemistry skills? Experience a lecture hall for the first time? Get to know nice fellow students? Discover Aachen and the university? All of that is possible before your studies through our bridge courses.
Tip
You will receive an inexpensive ticket for regional public transportation when you show your participation confirmation. This is first distributed on the first day of bridge courses. Unfortunately it is not possibly to send it to you prior to this date.
Start in August
The bridge courses start in August and end shortly before lectures begin. You can freely determine which courses you would like to take. You can also register for two courses that overlap each other, and then later leave one early.
Present Bridge Courses for the Winter Semester
In the Bridge Cours Brochure (de), you can find out everything you need to know about registration, material, and bridge course topics for the academic year. You can get a printed version of the brochure at the Student Advice Centre.
Online Math Course Year-Round
Our online mathematics bridge course is available to you for the whole year.
Participation without Study Placement Acceptance
You can also participate in our bridge course even if you have not receive acceptance for a study placement in the NC process. Documentation of enrollment is not required.
Costs
Participation in the courses is voluntary and free of charge.
Dining Hall
You can eat in the Aachen Student Services dining halls for the student price during the bridge courses, if you show your participation confirmation.
Parking Permit
You can obtain a parking permit for the duration of the bridge course. The permit costs five euros and can obtained from the General Students' Committee, AStA for short. You can get more information about the parking permits either in your bridge course or directly from AStA.
