Dampening Effects in Machine Tools - Study of the Dampening of Machine Components

Initial Situation

The prediction of machine dynamics is only possible to a limited extent due to missing dampening models.

Objects of Study

Spindle and linear axis components are investiaged with regards to their dampening at the RWTH Aachen Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering, WZL for short.

Goal

The goal is to identify influential factors relevant to dampening and to develop suitable parametrable models.
