Advanced Battery Power Conference Kraftwerk Batterie

Tuesday, March 28 to Thursday, March 30, 2017

The conference „Advanced Battery Power Conference – Battery solutions for automotive and energy supply sector“ will take place in Aachen. With more than 450 participants in the past years it is the largest international scientific battery conference in Germany. The conference is the meeting point for scientists and engineers from academia and industry and covers the whole value chain from new materials to applications including cell design, battery pack integration, manufacturing, applications and recycling. We expect more than 200 scientific contributions which will make the conference again a unique chance to see the latest trends in battery research and application.

Furthermore, the conference will provide the opportunity to get to know the basics of battery technology during a seminarlike parallel session. Experienced lecturers will present the different fundamental and technology specific issues of especially lithium-ion batteries. This goes along the whole value chain from the electrochemical essentials to production and integration into applications. This mix of basic knowledge and state of the art research and development will be an excellent chance to gain a broad insight into the field of the battery storage systems. You may join the whole session or just selected lecturers.

An utmost concern of the conference is fostering the communication between academia and industry. Therefore we encourage especially representatives from the industry to submit contributions which focus on the presentation of requirements of the industry regarding all components, systems, applications and functional safety in all fields. These presentations should help the academia to address these requirements with their research and presentations.
