Allocation Open Admission Master
The Process Step by Step
First select the online application for Überprüfung der fachlichen Vorbildung. Please make note of the application deadlines. The signed application form and other required documents must be submitted to the Registrar's Office by the application deadline. These are final deadlines, meaning that your application will not be taken into consideration after the deadline has passed.
Please note that specific documents may be required by certain faculties. Check the download section below.
In the next step, the Registrar's Office checks to see if the so-called formal prerequisites are fulfilled. This includes checking to see if the degrees are recognized university degrees and whether other admission requirements such as German or foreign language skills are fulfilled. If the formal requirements are not fulfilled, you will receive a rejection letter from the Registrar's Office after the application has passed. Otherwise your application is sent to the respective faculty to be reviewed for the necessary educational background.
Using the status tool you can view the current status of your application. You are also informed about missing documents there. We recommend checking the status of your application before the application deadline (January 1 for the SS and July 15 for the WS) to ensure that no documents are missing and that you can participate in the allocation process.
Review of the disciplinary requirements, that is review of admission, admission with provision, or rejection, is the sole responsibility of the examination boards in the faculties.
The faculties notify the Registrar's Office of the result of the disciplinary background review by March 15 for the summer semester and September 15 for the winter semester.
The Registrar's Office sends admission and rejection letters no later than March for the summer semester and no later than September for the winter semester. You can enroll in person or online before the enrollment deadline. You must enroll by April 30 for the summer semester and October 31 for the winter semester.
