RWTH is the leading German university in the acquisition of external funding, but the competition is increasingly getting tougher. There is a multitude of funding opportunities, but there is a very broad range of focuses and  program requirements. To succeed with an application for external funding, it is necessary to chose and address the right funding institution for one's research ideas and goals.
