52nd Essen Conference on Water and Waste Management
Wednesday, March 20 to Friday, March 22, 2019
A particular characteristic of this three-day event is the breadth of topics offered, ranging from possible policy and legal developments regarding the environment to problems and technical innovations in water management.
The event covers both current and pioneering topic groups. Skilled, well-known experts in science, politics, and professional practice will present the newest research findings and developments in approximately 70 presentations.
Roughly 1,000 participants attend the conference annually, which has established itself as a meeting point for the professional world of water management in the past 50 years.
The conference includes excursions to experience modern environmental technology in practice. A trade exhibition supplements the presentations. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to present their products and services during a technology forum.
Two prizes are annually awarded during the conference, the Oswald Schulze Prize and the IFWW Award from the Institut zur Förderung der Wassergüte- und Wassermengenwirtschaft e. V. In the Young Scientists Forum, junior researchers in water management will have an opportunity to present their most recent research results.
