Over the last 150 years, technology has provided us with a vast number of machines that make life easier for us and which we would not miss for the world. At the same time, the production of such machines seems to create problems for us – in today’s global economy, they threaten to become an end in themselves. What role should technology play as part of the good life, which emphasizes the dignity of humankind?
