Within the measure "Place to Be", RWTH plans programs that are specifically designed for students, junior scientists, senior scientists (otherwise known as “akademischer Mittelbau”) and professors in order to attract them and establish a close commitment to the University.

Place to Be is based on the measure “Mobilizing People” from the Institutional Strategy I. According to the values ambition, team spirit and pragmatism, the following activities will be offered in the next funding phase:

Diversity Fund and Re-Entry Positions
Doctorate positions for graduates from diverse backgrounds and re-entry positions for junior researchers after their parental leave

RWTH Start-Up, RWTH Lecturer and RWTH Fellow
Start-up financing for junior scientists, a title for researchers who have a doctorate, and support for the realization of research projects of distinguished professors

Childcare
Support for junior scientists with children
