Our Responsibilities

The Registar's Office is responsible for RWTH students' enrollment, re-enrollment, leaves of absence, and termination of enrollment, the development of internal university admissions processes (with the exception of particularities for students from abroad), and for the administrative development of the student body and social contribution fees. 

Additionally, funding matters (graduate funding, graduate schools, and doctoral scholarships) fall under the responsibilities of the Registrar's Office.  Furthermore the Registrar's Office is also in charge of organizing senior studies.

Our Office Hours

You can reach us via telephone within our flexible work hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. You can visit us in person Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 12:30pm and Wednesday from 1-4pm.

In particular cases, telephone appointment outside of our regular office hours is also possible.

 

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Division

When is online enrollment activated?

Online enrollment is only possible for open admission subjects and is activated August 1st for the winter semester and February 1st for the summer semester.

How can I apply for an NC subject?

Online application for courses of study with restricted admissions, as well as subjects with restricted admission, will likely be activated at the beginning of May.

Information about re-enrollment?

Re-enrollment takes place through payment of the study body and social contribution fees within the re-enrollment deadline (up to March 1st for the summer semester and September 1st for a winter semester).  You can find all the necessary information about re-enrollment on CampusOffice.
