SuperC Student Service Centre
A visual highlight in the heart of the city as well as the university complex, the SuperC Student Service Centre is a lively contact point for students with administrative and study-related queries.
The SuperC, which aspires to be a useful source of support and information for students during their studies at RWTH Aachen University, hosts the Registrar's Office, the Central Examination Office, as well as the International Office.
Not only of architectural interest, the SuperC is also remarkable for its utilization of geothermal energy - the building is cooled and heated through geothermal heat. As part of a EU demonstration project supervised by the Faculty of Georesources and Materials Engineering of RWTH Aachen University, a 2.5 kilometre deep drill was performed which is to provide the necessary supply of geothermal heat for the building.
