At RWTH we would like you to get to know us better! Everyone who has long wondered who and what is actually behind RWTH and its modern top-level research and University of Excellence status, or how several thousand students and employees influence university life on a daily basis, can look forward to experiencing RWTH first-hand at "The Festival".
The University invites all residents of the City of Aachen and the Städteregion Aachen, as well as all RWTH students and employees to attend the event on June 12, 2021. Originally scheduled for June 20, 2020, the event had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On a circular route encompassing Templergraben, Schinkelstraße, C.A.R.L. lecture hall complex, Audimax, and Wüllnerstraße, visitors get to experience exciting highlights in research and teaching activities presented by the various institutes in and around their buildings. The “Machen.” part of the “Lernen.Forschen.Machen.” anniversary motto will be expressed here, showing how insights are put into practice, and you are also invited to join in!
The University’s nine faculties will showcase their research highlights on the Talbot-Parkplatz, while Audimax will be dedicated to student initiatives with their social, technical, cultural, and other areas of interest. Meanwhile, younger guests will be well taken care of at C.A.R.L. with the Schülerlabore, children's lectures, and the popular Kinder-Uni.
The festival will end with live music on a stage at Templergraben in the evening. The bands set to perform there will be announced soon.
