RWTH Excels in Medicine and Chemistry
The CHE collegiate ranking system assessed RWTH Aachen in the fields of natural sciences, medicine, dentistry, earth sciences, and geography. Top positions were predominantly attained in medicine and chemistry.
Medicine excelled in the categories "supervision from instructors," "overall study situation," and "preclinical/clinical toothing." In chemistry, excellent results were achieved in "research funds" and "citations."
Compared with the last ranking, mathematics and biology were able to move up into the top group in the "overall study situation" category. In addition, information technology received admirable results in the "research funds" and "research reputation" categories. Physics also gained an outstanding assessment in the categories "training laboratory facilities" and "citations."
The CHE collegiate ranking covers information on degree programs, teaching, facilities and research as well as evaluations from more than 250,000 students. Approximately 300 universities and colleges from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands are taken into consideration.
