Artificial Intelligence and Global Security: Quo Vadis?
The Citizen's Forum RWTHextern invites you to join them for their lecture series Artificial Intelligence and Global Security: Quo vadis?
Science and technology have the potential to influence global security and peace in many different ways. While autonomous systems can benefit our society, they can also potentially develop autonomous weapons systems. This series delves into the world of artificial intelligence and looks at the technical, ethical, security, and political issues surrounding it.
The first talk in the series will be held in English on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Professor Toby Walsh from the University of New South Wales, Australia, will give a talk on The Case For and Against Killer Robots.
The event starts at 6.30pm and will be held at the Ford Hall, Super C, Templergraben 57 in Aachen. You do not have to register for the event, which is free of charge.
You can find an overview of further talks in the series on the event's page.
