Interview with Leibinger Father and Son
The new issue of the RWTH alumni magazine "keep in touch" is available.
Professor Leibinger, partner at Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG in Stuttgart, came to Aachen as an award winner. The trip also represented a reunion for his son: Berthold Leibinger was awarded the first Aachen Engineering Award and the next day he gave the keynote address at the premiere RWTH graduation celebration. He was accompanied by his son, Dr. Peter Leibinger, who studied mechanical engineering at RWTH. He called the trip to Aachen a "sentimental journey“ with many memories of his time at university. The Leibingers discuss many of the particular impressions they had during their stay in Aachen in an interview available in the newest issue of the alumni magazine "keep in touch," issue 58. The graduates, who were bid farewell at the first RWTH graduation celebration, also experienced many happy moments. A selection of the best photos illustrates special moments from this event.
The most recent issue also contains interesting information from the alumni network and from science, including pieces about the DHL parcel copter and the path that transformed the Aachen DWI - the former Deutsches Wollforschungsinstitut - into the Liebniz Association. Topics from around the city are also discussed, such as the new Centre Charlemagne on the Katschhof, which is presented as a "historical classroom" after its initial kickoff with the Charlemagne exihibits this past year.
The digital table issue, available for free in the AppStore and GooglePlay Store, offers readers bonus materials such as photo galleries, videos, and additional links.
