RWTH Using Software from TU Graz
Rector Ernst Schmachtenberg recently welcome a delegation from Graz University of Technology in the RWTH Aachen Main Building. During the visit Schmachtenberg and his counterpart Prof. Dr. Dr. Harald Kainz signed a contract, in which the terms were stipulated for RWTH Aachen's use till 2032 of the CAMPUSonline software developed in Graz .
The decision to proceed with the integrated campus management system from Graz resulted from a two-step selection process. This system is already in use at other universities such as TU Munich and the Universities of Cologne and Stuttgart.
All important areas for organizing academics and teaching will supported with the help of CAMPUSonline. These areas include processes for application, admissions, and examinations, and student, course, and classroom management.
Implementation of the software is effective immediately and is expected to be completed by December 2018. By then the software will have been adapted and further developed step-by-step according to RWTH's needs.
