Top Rankings for Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
Wirtschaftswoche's university rankings from July 17, 2015, once again certified RWTH Aachen's top reputation among German companies.
Every year the Wirtschaftswoche surveys around 500 human resources representatives from large and medium-sized German companies, asking which universities the best trained graduates come from. The survey places particular emphasis on practical orientation.
Human resources managers gave a very good evaluation for Aachen graduates in both the natural and engineering sciences. RWTH’s Vice-Rector for Industry and Business Relations, Prof. Malte Brettel, is particularly pleased with the success of the University’s School of Business and Economics, which entered the top ten in Germany for the first time. According to Brettel, RWTH’s main goals include excellence in teaching and research, as well as “to become one of the top entrepreneurial universities in Germany.”
After a year in second place in 2014, RWTH Aachen regained the top position among German universities in mechanical engineering and industrial engineering.
And again, the magazine placed the Aachen university in first place for the natural sciences, which have been defending the top position since the establishment of the ranking in 2009.
The University’s graduates in electrical engineering and computer science are also well sought after, as both disciplines were again voted into the top three.
