Aachen Steel Colloquium Celebrates Anniversary
The Department of Ferrous Metallurgy at RWTH Aachen University will host the 30th Aachen Steel Colloquium, entitled “Innovation for a Sustainable Steel Industry”, on September 3 and 4 at the business and events area of the Aachen Tivoli stadium. The conference has a focus on ferrous and steel metallurgy as well as materials and metal forming technologies.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the conference, we expect to host a number of high-profile professionals from the iron and steel industries as speakers, exhibitors, and guests. The program offers expert presentations from academia and industry on metallurgical research and current developments in the steel industry.
Apart from expert talks, the colloquium hosts an evening reception and an industrial fair, which makes it possible to make contacts with professionals in the sector. An exhibition of posters and other exhibits presents current research at RWTH in the fields of metallurgy, materials engineering, and environmental engineering.
All participants are invited to participate in a guided tour of the Department of Ferrous Metallurgy and the Institute of Metal Forming. Students receive a discount on the conference fee.
