From Bits to the Product – Digitally Networked Production

Thge presentation, which will take place  on July 13 at 7pm, is part of the lecture series on the Excellence Initiative at RWTH Aachen University.

In 2015, German exports reached yet another record high, mainly driven by classic “Made in Germany” products from the manufacturing sector. What can be done to further expand this important economic factor and keep manufacturing companies globally competitive?

On Wednesday, July 13, Denis Özdemir from the RWTH Excellence Cluster "Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries” will present possible solutions, such as combining the strengths of traditional production engineering with recent digitalization and networking technologies. Success can be achieved, for example, by interconnecting products and factories with the help of software applications.
